this song is about colonization in canada. it's about bullshit status rules created by the canadian state to decide who is and who is not a 'status indian'. no one should be determining the membership of indigenous communities but indigenous communities. it's about canada stacking the deck so that indian status is slowly but surely erased. so canada can more easily steal all the land. but it won't work.
